Since April 2021, Maria Pineda has been the Outreach & Marketing Specialist at SBA San Francisco District Office. Major duties include outreach to small business stakeholders to highlight SBA programs and services, including SBA-guaranteed loans, federal contracting and business technical training and counseling. Fifteen years in consumer lending & underwriting, sales, marketing and public service background at Department of the Treasury, U.S. Agency for International Development and Social Security Administration. Fully bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
Alma Galvan is the daughter of Mexican Immigrants and came to the US in 1992 at the age of 6. In November 2005, she started her career with the Better Business Bureau of Sacramento. While in Sacramento, Alma opened the BBB Business Torch Center, developed various marketing tools and programs for small businesses, and is one of the partners of the first Programa Hispano SBDC. Today, Alma works for the BBB Serving The San Francisco Bay Area and Northern Coastal California and is a small business consultant with SBDC.
