The Workforce Alliance of the North Bay is excited to bring to Napa its first community-wide “Biz Resource Fair” – a 3-hour event for business owners and managers (of all sectors and sizes) to learn about low/no cost business resources and service providers.
Workforce Alliance of the North Bay Issues Request for Proposals for Project Manager Staffing Services
The Workforce Alliance of the North Bay (WANB), the Workforce Development Board for Lake, Marin, Mendocino and Napa Counties, is requesting proposals from qualified applicants and/or organizations that could provide project management assistance throughout the WANB region in one or more of the following categories: Youth & Adult Programs, Marketing & Communications, Business Engagement & Coordination, and Programmatic & Fiscal. Applicants chosen would be included in a repository of project managers that could be accessed by the staff of the WANB to assist in the management of special workforce development projects. Extended Due Date is June 4, 2019.
BrightFutures College and Career Center Opens in Napa
A new program aimed at showing students career possibilities is open in Napa, CA at Vintage High School. BrightFutures is a four-county youth program that provides students access to career pathway information through a network of College and Career Centers and a newly-refurbished Mobile Career Explorer, a bus stocked with everything needed to help students start their career search.
