Description:

January is the start of filing season for small business owners. Lexa Lam from the IRS will help you get familiar with IRS.gov and IRS Videos to find what you need in a few clicks. This Small Business Tax Workshop Overview will provide updated content, enhanced navigation and interactive features, includes live demo of the IRS Videos portal; plus a handout of 1 page pdf with live links to irs.gov for small businesses will be included.

Presenters

Since April 2021, Maria Pineda has been the Outreach & Marketing Specialist at SBA San Francisco District Office. Major duties include outreach to small business stakeholders to highlight SBA programs and services, including SBA-guaranteed loans, federal contracting and business technical training and counseling. Fifteen+ years in consumer lending & underwriting, sales, marketing and public service background at Department of the Treasury, U.S. Agency for International Development and Social Security Administration. Fully bi-lingual (English/Spanish).

Alexa (Lexa) Lam is a Senior Stakeholder Liaison and is currently the relationship manager for California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA), California Certified Public Accountants (Cal CPA) Chapters, and various industry organizations in the San Francisco, San Mateo Bay Area and the state of Idaho. In this position, she connects the chapters and organizations with the IRS policies, practices and procedural information they need to help them support their clients to voluntarily comply with federal tax law matters for properly filing and paying. Alexa’s position provides opportunities to speak at organization meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops, both face-to-face and via webcast, on tax-related topics that are relevant to the given audience.
