Career Technical Education Fairs, 2024
You are invited to the 17th Annual CTE Fair(s)!
The goal of the annual CTE fairs is for industry professionals to share information about potential careers, technical education, apprenticeship training, summer internships, or jobs with our students. Students at our high schools are diverse, and multilingual. About half our graduating seniors go on to four-year colleges, while another half plan to attend a community college, or go straight into the workforce. Your participation would be a valuable contribution to helping our youth explore and choose potential careers that are a good fit for them.
Approximately 800 students will attend from all grade levels will circulate through the gym/courtyard with their classes at designated times and will interact with some presenters to learn more about jobs and/or industries. Your stamp/signature validating these conversations on students’ sheets will enable them to enter a raffle for a prize.
A table, chairs, and tablecloth will be provided. Bring your organization’s logo cloth if you have one, along with presentation materials, informational handouts, and any give-away items such as caps, t-shirts, water bottles, and key chains. We have a limited number of tables, so you may be sharing a table with another organization. Please let us know if you will need a full table. There are a few electrical outlets and Wi-Fi; if you require a nearby outlet, let us know on the rsvp link.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to park and set up: 1) At TL, in the main courtyard behind the new gym and 2) at SR, by the tennis courts just past the main gym (use 185 Mission Avenue address in your navigation system), and proceed to the gym.
Please print and attach this parking permit for SRHS parking. For TLHS, presenters may park on surrounding streets (Nova Albion Way, Esmeyer Dr, El Pavo Real Cir, etc. or in visitor parking).
